Fruits like oranges, lemon and fruiters will be available in the winter. We waste the peel of these fruits as rubbish. These are very rich in nutrition. In sour fruits like lemon, there is plenty of Vitamin C.

Aamer reached home and saw his mother peeling potatoes. He was a student of medical and just attended an important lecture on nutrition. Seeing his mother peeling potatoes, he screamed mother dont peel off potatoes, cook them un-peeled. Mother was surprised. She said, Are you crazy, who eats un-peeled potatoes.

Aamer, mother, potato skin is also very nutritious. It contains fibre, iron, potassium and Vitamin B. it also contains anti-oxidants which protect us from diseases. Mother was astonished by this amazing nutrition fact of potato. Since the son was a student of medical, she could not help trusting him. She decided that from now onward she would cook un-peeled potatoes.

We peel many fruits and vegetables before using or cooking them. Their skin is thrown into dustbin. In fact, skin of many vegetables and fruits contain high amount of nutrient. We should use them. They contain two three times more fibre than fruits and vegetables. Our body is in acute need of this fibre. It helps extricates oxidants from our body. Secondly, they contain anti-oxidants which keep our cells healthy and strong. Since man is composed of these cells, the healthy cells are must for his long and healthy life.

Thirdly, these peels contain low amount of sugar, fats and calories. Hence human beings remain safe from such material the excess of which can be harmful for our health. Followingpart gives details of such fruits and vegetables which have highly nutritious skin.

Onion:

It is a common vegetable. It has a variety of antioxidants. It is rich in a chemical called Quercetin. It reduces the blood pressure and prevents the accumulation of fats in our arteries. 

 

 

 

Ajowan caraway:

its vegetable is called celery. Its seed is used in spices. But it leaves are thrown into garbage though they are more nutritious than the seed. These leaves have five times more magnesium and calcium. They also contain Vitamin C and anti-inflammatory substances.  If you are fond of eating ajowan cook it along with its leaves.

Oranges:

The fruits of family of oranges lemon, fruiters, and tangerine will be available in the next season. Their peels have great nutrition and are thrown into garbage. The skin of sour foods abounds in Vitamin C. Besides, it has Vitamin A and minerals like zinc, selenium, calcium ad manganese. Now the question is how to eat the peel of fruits. The best way is to dry them and grind them to make powder. It can be mixed with spices and used in cooking or sprinkle on salad or it can be mixed in sauce or pickle.

Banana:

The peel of banana is rich in potassium mineral. This mineral controls our blood pressure and improves our mood. It has soluble fibre in abundance. It gives us a sense of satiety and frees us from LDL (bad cholesterol). It also has insoluble fibre. It overhauls our intestine and improves digestive system. Due to these characteristics, banana peel is cooked as vegetables in India as well as many other Asian countries. It also used in making soup. So, next tile plan to use banana peel wisely.

Apple: The major portion of vitamins and minerals of apple are found near its skin. Therefore, always try to eat apple without peeing.  It contains Vitamin A and C as well as calcium, potassium and phosphorus. It also contains a soluble fibre Pectin. Pectin reduces cholesterol and sugar level in our body.

Mango:

Allah has concealed many nutrients in the skin of king of Fruits Mango. It has different anti-oxidants like Polyphenol, Anthocyanins and Carotenodis. These are strong anti-oxidants. These are anti-aging and protect us from cancer, diabetes and arthritis. Besides these, there are other anti-oxidants in mango peel. So try to eat mangoes un-peeld. Mango should be washed well before eating.
