One of the servant’s names of Sultan Nasir-ud-Din Mehmood was Muhammad Taj-d-din. Sultan always used to call him with his full name. One day Sultan called him by saying Taj-ud-din. The servant fulfilled the order of the Sultan at that time. But after that he went to his home and for three days he did not come to the Sultan. Sultan called him and asked him for the reason for his absence. The servant said: You always used to call me by saying Muhammad Taj-ud-din. But on that day you called me as only Taj-ud-din. I drew this conclusion from that that perhaps there is some ill will in your heart with respect to me. That is why I did not come to visit you. I have spent these three days in anxiety and worry. Sultan said: I do not have any ill will towards you. The time when I called you as Taj-ud-din, I was not in ablution at that time. I did not find it appropriate that I bring the name of Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) on my tongue while I have not performed ablution. (Sadia Siddiqa, Sargodha)
