Benevolent attitude of the prophet Muhammad towards non-Muslims:
Part 99
A historical example of discipline and mercy:
In the time of Hazrat Umar رضی اللہ عنہ, there was a god-fearing noble Muslim by the name of Hazrat Umar-u-bin saad رضی اللہ عنہ who was appointed by Hazrat Umar رضی اللہ عنہ as the Amil of khamas. This appointment was accepted on Hazrat Umar-u-bin Saad’s رضی اللہ عنہ condition that he would not take any salary for this position. Amongst his people, there were Christians too and once Hazrat Umar-u-bin Saad رضی اللہ عنہ said to a Christian that may Allah give you humiliation. After saying this he realised that he had no right to say this and so requested to resign from his post in the court of Hazrat Umar رضی اللہ عنہ since he believed that this position of his had led to such disturbing words being said to a Christian.
