Hazrat Peer Ali Hajveri (ra) wants us to have deep understanding for the topics of the shiekh; ghanni, and faqr. A person should embrace faqr. He should wear old stitched clothes. Or sometimes should live with the glory of bounties if Allah has bestowed him with some. Nowadays we imagine sufia with an imagination of torn worn old clothes, dirty looks, dance; this was never Sufism or tasawwuf. This is a misleading concept. In real, the teachings and reflection of Quran and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is real reflection how sufia akram lived. This is named as Sufism. It is living according to shareeat e Muhammadi (pbuh). Tasawuf is real submission to love and being a slave of Muhammad (pbuh). And love for the sake of actions; not just for mere speech. Hazrat Peer Ali Hajvery (ra) promotes that we should live for the way of musabib-ul-asbaab. If Allah has given you a life of faqr, be satisfied. Or if He Almighty has made you ghanni, be thankful. This feeling is called as tasleem o raza.
Prophet Musa ( as) once went through a place. He saw a man with countless bounties. He said I am tired of collecting the token of bounties now. Ask the lord to make them a bit less. Prophet moved forward from that place. He saw another man who had not even enough clothes to hide his bare body but the sand to hide himself in. He said him to request God to kindly grant a few blessings. Allah replied him with answer to convey the one who wants less bounty , to be thankless and he’ll have his wish. And ask the one who wants much bounties to be thankful and he’ll have his wish. Prophet Musa (as) said the one with poor condition that Allah has replied to be thankful to him. He said what do I have already to be thankful on? He just said this and the wind blew such intensely that the sand blew off and his hiden body got revealed out of the sand and he started running here and there restlessly to cover up his bare self. On the other hand The one who mentioned countless blessings bestowed to him by Allah. Prophet Musa (as) told him that Allah says that if he won’t be thankful to Allah then blessings he is keeping will fall apart from him. That person said that the Lord who has bestowed me such bounties! How am I able to not pay thanks to Him. I cease to do this. Then Allah increased his blessings upon that person.
